Richard Branson said.
“If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you are not sure if you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later.”
Have you ever been asked what you do? You stand there with your mind racing, and a thousand answers come to you, none of which really fully answer the question.
So here is my story.
Well, I bought my first computer about 16 years ago, it was an IBM PR200 with 32 Mb Ram with 8 GB Hard Drive running Windows 95. Within 6 months I knew it inside out and began to help friends and neighbours to understand their computers. I learnt a lot about software and hardware, they thought it was great when I showed them how to copy a cd or set up outlook express (those were the days).
Okay Long story short. Then I researched internet marketing and made a few bucks on the side. I began to play with web hosting and other pieces of software, I learned Photoshop, Fireworks and Dreamweaver. I enjoy exploring how software works and what can be done with it.
Yes I like PC’s. and have experienced every operating system, built many new systems for myself and others, experienced lots of software, removed viruses, browser hijackers, malware and ad ware viruses and spam emails, copied and pasted and scanned and printed and ripped burned and blogged, facebooked, twittered pinned and so it goes on.
So now I work with a combination of Dreamweaver and/or WordPress to create small medium and large websites some open source php and Html and more. I also work with other groups to create state of the art Business Catalyst sites. Working with auto responders key word search systems and Seo, as well as small graphic design projects and PC Repairs.
I never stop Learning
And I would like to at this point give a huge endorsement to Lynda . com for the many hours of videos I have watched, learning: CSS, Html, Sql databases, Php, WordPress, and so much more.
I believe that life is a journey not a destination so I’m just going for it.
So here I am at 59 years of age still keeping up with many of the younger people in the world, in awe of others and enjoying the journey we all share.
There is so much I could share and over time I will.
So for now enjoy your journey and feel free to contact me if I can help you in any way.
Signing off for now
